Wild Indigo Herbal Skincare
A fresh-mix botanical mask for oil absorption, antioxidant support + calming stressed-looking skin. Every ingredient has a functional reason to be here, and where the evidence is mostly laboratory-based rather than clinical, we say so.
Ingredients
Rose, matcha, dandelion root and kaolin clay.
What Each Ingredient Actually Does
Rose - anti-inflammatory + antioxidant potential. Rose petals contain polyphenols and aromatic compounds with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activity in laboratory research. Topically, rose is traditionally used to calm dry or irritated-looking skin, but strong human clinical trials of rose powder masks are limited.
Matcha - catechin-rich antioxidant support. Green tea is rich in EGCG and related catechins. Topical green-tea preparations have human research for reducing sebum, calming inflammation and helping protect skin from oxidative stress, although this rinse-off mask is not equivalent to standardized clinical formulations.
Dandelion root - antioxidant + anti-inflammatory research. Dandelion contains phenolic compounds and has shown antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activity in laboratory and preclinical studies. Direct human evidence for topical dandelion skincare is limited, so we keep the claim grounded.
Kaolin clay - absorbs oil + surface impurities. Kaolin physically binds excess oil and particulate matter on the skin surface. It is generally milder than highly absorbent clays, making it useful for cleansing without needing a harsh detergent base.
🌸 How to Use
Mix approximately ½ teaspoon powder with ½ teaspoon water, adding a few drops more if needed. Apply a thin layer to clean skin, avoiding eyes and lips. Rinse before the mask becomes uncomfortably dry.
Make It Yours
For a creamier mask, swap some of the water for plain yogurt or honey if your skin tolerates them. For a lighter application, use more water and paint on a thinner layer.
