Wild Indigo Creative Cluster

The Artist's Way Creative Cluster

We are circling up once again. Wild Indigo is gathering again for The Artist's Way, returning to this beloved creative practice in sacred community.

A 13-Sunday Journey Back to Your Creative Self

Sundays · January 3 to March 28, 2027 · 12:00 to 1:30 p.m.

A sacred circle for creative recovery through daily Morning Pages, weekly Artist Dates, meaningful conversation, and gentle accountability.

Your Creativity Is Already Here

Creativity belongs to every person, even those who have been told they are not creative or have never thought of themselves as artists. This Creative Cluster invites you to discover the creativity already living within you, without needing experience, training, a portfolio, or proof.

Together, we will move through Julia Cameron's The Artist's Way, loosening old creative blocks and making room for curiosity, play, courage, and possibility.

How the Creative Cluster Works

Read + Reflect

Before our first gathering, read the Spiritual Principles and Introduction. After that, read one chapter each week and complete the assigned exercises.

Daily Morning Pages

Write three private pages of longhand, stream-of-consciousness thought every morning. Morning Pages are a required daily practice, but they are yours alone and are never collected or shared.

Weekly Artist Dates

Take one solo adventure each week in the direction of curiosity, delight, beauty, or mischief, replenishing your creative well through play.

Sunday Creative Cluster

Gather for 90 minutes of reflection, witnessing, encouragement, and accountability. We practice consistently without turning creativity into another measure of perfection.

Gather Around the Wild Indigo Table

Every Sunday includes wildcrafted tea from Wild Indigo's forest, seasonal food bites, and Sunergos coffee. These offerings create a warm arrival ritual and connect our creative practice to the season, the forest, and the generous spirit of a shared table.

Come Early. Stay W I L D. (Or Late.)

Creative Cluster members are welcome to arrive early and spend time with the land before we gather. Hike the trails, swim in Princess Leia’s Pond when conditions allow, walk the Daffodil Renewal Labyrinth, wander through the forest, and explore more of what makes Wild Indigo W I L D.

The Artist's Way Sacred Circle Guidelines

Guiding principles by Julia Cameron

  1. Creativity flourishes in safety and acceptance.
  2. Creativity grows among friends and withers among enemies.
  3. Creative ideas are children deserving protection.
  4. Creative success requires room for creative failure.
  5. Fulfilling our creativity is a sacred trust.
  6. Violating another person’s creativity violates that trust.
  7. Creative feedback should support the creative child rather than shame it.
  8. Feedback should build on strengths rather than fixate on weaknesses.
  9. Success grows in generous clusters.
  10. Another person’s good can never block our own.
  11. Art is an act of the soul and should be treated as such.

How We Practice Together

Most importantly, be self-loving. This 12-chapter journey is meant to challenge you, so be kind to yourself throughout the process.

  • This is a commitment to yourself. At some point, you may feel challenged, tempted to skip a practice, or ready to quit. That does not mean you are failing. It often means the work is working. You are stretching beyond familiar patterns and expanding your capacity. Fear may step in because it is trying to protect you from uncertainty, vulnerability, and change. Meet it with compassion, then gently return to the page, the Artist Date, and the circle.
  • You will notice the words God and Creator throughout the book. You are invited to omit or substitute whatever language resonates most with you.
  • Every participant, including the facilitators, completes the daily Morning Pages, weekly Artist Dates, and chapter exercises. The cluster begins with facilitation, but the goal is a peer-to-peer circle in which each person is an equal part of the collective.
  • Our Creative Cluster is built on trust, respect, and each person’s bodily autonomy.
  • Practice active listening. Listen to the entirety of a person’s sharing without interjection, unsolicited opinions, or advice.
  • We receive what we need by sharing our own material and listening to others. We witness rather than fix, diagnose, control, or debate one another.
  • Allow for the natural flux and flow of speaking, reflection, silence, and sharing.
  • Presume good faith in every interaction and exchange.
  • Respect and compassion are afforded equally to every human heart that shows up. Each person must be able to speak their own wounds and dreams.
  • Arrive with a Beginner’s Mind. Leave professional knowing, hierarchy, comparison, competitive behavior, and the need to be right outside the circle.
  • Expect the group’s makeup to change. Some people may not fulfill the full commitment, and that is okay.
  • Morning Pages are completely private. Do not share them with anyone, and do not reread them until later in the course unless your inner guidance asks you to.
  • What is shared in the Sacred Circle stays in the Sacred Circle.
