Wild Indigo Forest Farm is a Forest-to-Table Retreat and Nature Center tucked into 111 magical acres, just 25 minutes north of Louisville and perched atop Pixley Knob.
Wild Indigo is a certified forest and nature preserve, giving guests the chance to experience Wild Indigo within a living, protected forest landscape.
Knob N’ Wood, our off-grid, artisan-built cob, straw-bale, and timber-framed retreat center, welcomes retreats, workshops, gatherings, overnight stays, camping, and Bed & Breakfast guests.
Wild Indigo is also growing into a place where art lives throughout the landscape. Murals, handmade details, installations, and original artwork can be found both inside and out, with more being added as the property continues to evolve.

Supporting local was never a trend in my family. It was how I was raised by parents and grandparents who were quirky business owners with one-of-a-kind businesses of their own. Growing up meant walking into Lynn’s Paradise Cafe, Sunday meals after church at The Café inside the old Louisville Antique Mall on Goss Avenue, and every strange, wonderful local place we could find. Those places made our city feel alive. This guide is how I celebrate the Kentuckiana businesses keeping that spirit going. I can still remember going to ear X-tacy as a first grader to grab the Spice Girls album when it came out.
