Artists & Makers We Love
Wild Indigo Forest Farm Resources
Artists & Makers We Love
🪻 From Southern Indiana to creative commUnities across the globe, Wild Indigo champions artists and makers who approach their craft with a commitment to sustainability. Think light fixtures fashioned from broken skateboards, reclaimed timber given a second life, handmade mosaics, salvaged objects, and upcycled materials transformed into something wholly unexpected. The art we choose to support is a celebration of skill, resourcefulness, and respect for the Earth.
This is our growing library of artists, makers, books, growers, teachers, farms, organizations, and creations that have shaped Wild Indigo or inspired how we live with land, creativity, commUnity, and the seasons. We believe credit should travel with the work, and whenever we can verify a direct home for someone's work, we link you straight there.

Books & Decks We Return To
Animal, Vegetable, Miracle
Barbara Kingsolver. Part memoir, part year-long experiment in eating close to home, and part deeply researched look at the environmental costs of the modern food system. The book weaves growing, raising, preserving, and sourcing food with research and statistics around industrial agriculture, fossil-fuel dependence, food miles, climate impact, biodiversity, seasonality, local food economies, and why our everyday food choices matter. It is both a story about living by the seasons and a case for rebuilding a closer relationship between food, land, farmers, and ecological responsibility.
Between Heaven and Earth

Practice With Respect
Spiritual, ceremonial, and sound practices carry living histories. We encourage facilitators and guests to learn where a practice comes from, credit its lineage, avoid claiming traditions that are not theirs, and seek teachers who are connected to and authorized by the commUnities they represent.

A LIVING ARTIST TRAIL
We’re building a living artist trail throughout Loki’s Labyrinth Trail and Luna’s Loop, weaving creative contributions into the experience of walking this land. From small discoveries to larger installations, each agreed work becomes part of a growing conversation between people, plants, and purpose.
Every artist who donates their time and creative energy will be featured on our website, with a bio, imagery of their work, and links to their website and social media pages, shared with their permission. Artists remain visible beyond their time on the land.
Placement, materials, artist credit, ownership, care, and display duration are agreed upon together.
