Wednesday, December 23, 2026 · Wild Indigo Forest Farm · Pekin, Indiana
Arrivals: 5:30 PM · Indoor Sound Bath: 6:30–7:30 PM · Festivities until 9:30 PM
All times Eastern.

Yule want to stay awhile. Gather with Wild Indigo Forest Farm + Cat & Owl Alchemy for an indoor sound bath co-created by Cat and Elise Dixie Jane, celebrating Yule, the winter solstice, and December’s Full Cold Moon, with optional Reiki from Kimberly Krueger. Cat brings violin and singing bowls; Elise layers crystal singing bowls with gong, drum washing, crystal harp, rattles, and looping textures. There is no expectation that you perform relaxation. Sit up, move, drink water, step away, or participate quietly as you need.

Deck the halls

Our indoor gathering takes place at Knob N’ Wood Retreat Center, Wild Indigo’s artisan-built strawbale-and-cob retreat space. Timber framing, mica-flecked earth walls, stained glass, hand-painted cob, and sustainable art make the house part of the magic. Holiday decor will fill the rooms, and Wild Indigo’s ritual holiday-themed candles and lunar phase candles will glow throughout the Retreat Center.

Sleigh your own way

🎄 Wear your favorite holiday attire: velvet, sequins, antlers, festive sweaters, celestial crowns, woodland witchery, or your coziest clothes. There is no such thing as too much. We love too much here at Wild Indigo. Your version of festive belongs here, whether it jingles, sparkles, swooshes, or comes with slippers. Bring warm layers and sturdy shoes for outdoor festivities.

Cat’s Thistle and Thread Society · Craft now Moon over it later

For Cat, this gathering is equal parts sound bath and her Thistle and Thread Society: a holiday evening for making, gathering, and sharing a little lunar magic in commUnity.

Create your own full moon on a round canvas, shaping craters with glue and adding mica powder, glitter, herbs, and dried florals from Wild Indigo. No art experience needed.

No plus-one required

Come solo or come with your people. You do not need a friend, partner, or built-in person to join us. Arrival time, moon-making, holiday food, and bonfire conversation offer natural ways to meet people without networking or forced sharing. Quiet participation is welcome, and there is no correct amount of socializing. You do not have to arrive cheerful or sparkling if the holidays feel complicated.

Let the good times roll

Wild Indigo’s Chef Elise Dixie Jane will be serving up the delicious holiday-inspired food, including an edible Yule log roll to share. Our other Yule log will burn in the masonry heater. After the sound bath, enjoy moon-making, our spiral labyrinth with its mandala, and outdoor bonfire pits until 9:30 PM. Season’s eatings and warm commUnity await. Food is included with every ticket tier, with the holiday table part of the festivities after sound from 7:30 PM. Alongside the confirmed Yule log roll, the remaining holiday-inspired dishes are being developed; the final menu will be shared when confirmed. Please email us before the gathering about dietary requirements so we can confirm preparation and cross-contact needs.

May the frost be with you

Feeling brrr-ave? We’ll close with an optional polar bear plunge in Princess Leia’s pond. Staying warm and cheering from shore is equally welcome. The plunge depends on weather, pond conditions, and safe access and may be changed or canceled. Follow host guidance, never enter alone, and bring a towel, dry clothes, and warm layers.

A whole latke love · Let’s gelt together

Elise is Jewish and also celebrates Christmas. Around here, the holiday spirit has a wonderfully wild family tree, with menorah glow, Christmas sparkle, and a Yule log crackling in the hearth. We welcome guests connected with Hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanzaa, Diwali, Yule, the winter solstice, and other traditions throughout the year. Each carries its own meaning and calendar. Elise also holds deep respect for Kwanzaa’s Nguzo Saba, the Seven Principles rooted in African and African American culture: Umoja (unity), Kujichagulia (self-determination), Ujima (collective work and responsibility), Ujamaa (cooperative economics), Nia (purpose), Kuumba (creativity), and Imani (faith). All faiths, spiritual paths, and those who follow none are welcome. Participation and Reiki are always optional and consent-based.

Bring winter layers and sturdy shoes for outdoor time. Please email us about dietary, sensory, mobility, or other access needs before the gathering so we can discuss arrangements and limits. Final menu details will follow.

Bring the light · follow the glow

You’ll arrive after dark, and the entire driveway will be lit with lights to guide your way. Our bottom lot holds about 7–9 vehicles. Once it fills, Elise’s husband Andrew will direct parking at the upper lots and offer flashlights and headlamps for the walk down. Join the fun of welcoming the light back, literally and figuratively, while feeling safe and comfortable on your way to the festivities. Arrive from 5:30 PM so you can be settled by 6:30 PM.
