Alcohol-free witch hazel hydrosol for toning, cooling & calming skin. Witch hazel has a genuine dermatologic history, but a distilled hydrosol is not the same thing as the tannin-heavy extracts found in many commercial witch hazel products.

Skin Benefits
Soothing irritated-looking skin. Witch hazel preparations have been studied for mild skin inflammation and irritation, including redness after sun exposure. Evidence depends on the exact preparation, so we do not treat every witch hazel product as interchangeable.
Astringent feel without added alcohol. Witch hazel is famous for its astringent skincare tradition. This hydrosol offers a lighter distilled form for people who find alcohol-based toners too drying or sharp.
Cooling & refreshing. As a water-based distillate, it is useful when skin feels hot, oily or sticky and you want a quick, non-greasy refresh.
Important chemistry note. Tannins are not very volatile, so a true hydrosol contains far less of the tannin-rich fraction associated with conventional witch hazel extracts. That is part of why the hydrosol feels gentler.

Mist lightly onto clean skin as a toner or refreshing facial and body mist. Avoid direct contact with eyes.
