Wild Indigo Forest Farm · Pekin, Indiana
Samhain + Halloween Sound Bath in the Forest
Saturday, October 24, 2026 · Arrival begins 4:00 PM · Outdoor Sound Bath begins promptly at 5:00 PM
An outdoor Halloween + Samhain Sound Bath where cult-classic camp, gothic whimsy, botanical oddities, candlelight, seasonal ritual, forest wandering, food, costumes, and sound meet beneath the trees. During the arrival hour, you can also browse Halloween-inspired paintings by visiting artist Daniel “Nano” Nichter. Cat’s live violin will weave familiar Halloween melodies with eerie, atmospheric violin work and original seasonal compositions through the forest.
4:00 PM · Follow the glow into the evening
The arrival hour is part of the experience, a slow transition from ordinary Saturday into a handmade Halloween world. Wander through our candlelit wizarding walk-up and fairy houses, visit the candy station and Wild Indigo + Cat & Owl Alchemy apothecaries, enjoy Halloween-inspired bites and seasonal libations, settle into your sound-bath nest, walk the forest, and explore the seasonal spiral labyrinth.
At the fire pit, you may burn a safe paper offering representing what you are ready to release, then pause at the center of the spiral to call in what you want to welcome for the season ahead. You are also invited to bring a small meaningful object or photograph of an ancestor or loved one who has passed for the shared altar. Please take personal objects home afterward.

Artist Bio · Daniel “Nano” Nichter
👻 We're thrilled to welcome Daniel “Nano” Nichter to our October 24 Halloween Sound Bath! He'll be joining us with a vendor booth featuring his spooky, Halloween-inspired paintings, available for purchase throughout the evening.
A Southern Indiana Wizard of Paint known for pet portraits, a massage therapist, grower of beard, and free spirit, Daniel has called 13 states home, including a chapter of his life spent living in a converted school bus and surviving on PB&J sandwiches.
A Pisces with an adventurous spirit and a deep appreciation for the planet and his fellow humans, Daniel enjoys practicing tai chi underwater, cuddles, and proudly claims he can cook Minute Rice in just 52 seconds. Apparently, his wizardry extends beyond the canvas.
His grandmother was a prolific landscape painter, and Daniel describes painting as a way of keeping her around. It's a deeply personal connection that continues to inspire his creativity.
Daniel began painting gifts for friends and family in 2019 and especially enjoys alla prima, a wet-on-wet painting technique that embraces spontaneity, intuition, and the freedom to create as inspiration strikes.
And when he's not painting, you'll probably find him enjoying the freedom to be unapologetically himself.

5:00 PM · Sound + Reiki beneath the trees
Familiar Halloween melodies, eerie atmospheric violin work, and original seasonal compositions woven through the surrounding forest sound field.
Crystal singing bowls layered with gong, drum washing, crystal harp, rattles, and looping textures that build, repeat, dissolve, and move through the space.
Kimberly will move through the gathering offering Reiki to guests who choose to receive it. Reiki and touch are always consent-based.
There is no expectation that you perform relaxation. Shift, sit up, lie down, step away, get water, care for a child, cough, cry, or move however your body needs. The sound field is there to meet you, not grade you.
Trick or Treat? 🎃
We’ll have a playful Halloween spread of snacks, sweets, and small bites. This is not intended to be a full meal or dinner, so please eat beforehand if you need something substantial.
- Candy station for adults + children, with a clearly separated gluten-free + vegan selection alongside traditional candy.
- Confirmed persimmon pudding bites.
- Halloween-themed non-alcoholic Jell-O shots for all ages and distinctly separated alcoholic Jell-O shots for guests 21+.
Children are welcome here too
This is a family-welcome Halloween gathering, not an adults-only event. Children can enjoy the arrival experience, candy station, food, costumes, candlelight, forest wandering, and Sound Bath alongside their grown-ups. Families are welcome to shift positions, step away, get water, or care for a child’s needs as they arise.

This experience is planned outdoors, weather permitting. Late October can turn chilly quickly once the light drops. Bring more warmth than you think you need: thermals, sweaters, warm socks, coats, gloves, hats, sturdy shoes, blankets, comforters, or sleeping bags. Layer under your costume rather than sacrificing warmth for the look.
The gathering grass will be kept very short and treated with Saturday Lime as part of our outdoor prep. Wild Indigo’s homemade bug spray will also be available. This is still a living forest, so the occasional insect, breeze, leaf, acorn, or curious bit of nature may make a cameo.
