Wild Indigo Herbal Elixirs

Passionflower is a classic relaxing nervine with a long history of use for winding down, restlessness & sleep support. We keep the focus on one plant, its herbal tradition, and what modern human research has actually examined.

Currently between batches. This small-batch extract follows the rhythm of our harvest and apothecary production. It is unavailable when the current batch is gone and returns when the next batch is ready.

Ingredients

Passionflower (Passiflora incarnata) and brandy. 2 oz.

Herbal Tradition & Research Notes

Relaxation & nervous-system research. Small human studies have examined passionflower for short-term anxiety symptoms, including before medical or dental procedures. Results are promising, but the evidence remains limited.

Sleep research. Small studies have examined passionflower preparations in adults with sleep difficulties. Some results suggest changes in sleep time or sleep quality, while findings for falling asleep and staying asleep are mixed.

Relaxing nervine tradition. Passionflower has centuries of traditional use as a calming nervine for a busy mind, restlessness, and nervous tension. Its flavonoids and related compounds continue to be studied for their activity in calming pathways.
