Wild Indigo Homegrown Apothecary · Diagon Apiary
Three ingredients, three very different jobs. Raw honey brings sweetness and naturally occurring polyphenols, bee pollen brings concentrated nutrients, and apple cider vinegar gives the tonic its bright acidic backbone.
Ingredients
Raw honey, bee pollen and apple cider vinegar.
Food Tradition & Research Notes
Raw honey · traditional throat-soothing food. Human studies have examined honey for cough frequency and sleep during upper-respiratory infections in people over age 1. Honey also contains naturally occurring polyphenols, but the exact profile varies with floral source.
Bee pollen · concentrated bee-gathered food. Bee pollen contains protein, amino acids, lipids, vitamins, minerals and polyphenols, with composition that changes depending on the plants the bees visited. Laboratory research is extensive, while strong human clinical evidence for specific health outcomes is still limited. We would rather tell you that plainly than dress it up as a miracle powder.
Apple cider vinegar · fermented food & metabolic research. Small human studies have examined vinegar with meals in relation to post-meal glucose response and satiety. Results vary, and ordinary food use should not be treated as equivalent to a medical treatment.
🍯 How to Use
Enjoy by the spoonful, stir into water or tea, or add a little golden tang to drinks and dressings. Shake or stir if the pollen settles.
