Forest-Grown Native Fruit · Southern Indiana
Tastes Like Sunshine 🌞
If banana, mango, vanilla & melon had a baby…
Pawpaw is a real native fruit with real nutritional value, not a medicinal miracle fruit. Its magic is that it tastes gloriously tropical while growing beneath an eastern woodland canopy.
Ingredients
Pawpaw pulp with a small amount of ascorbic acid added to help preserve its naturally golden color. One 2 lb / 907 g bag.
Nutritional Benefits
Vitamin C. Pawpaw provides vitamin C, which supports normal collagen formation, antioxidant defenses and immune function. Exact content varies with ripeness, variety and storage.
Potassium & magnesium. Pawpaw supplies minerals involved in normal muscle, nerve and cardiovascular function.
Energy & natural carbohydrates. The creamy pulp provides naturally occurring sugars and starches, making it useful in smoothies, desserts and other calorie-containing foods.
Carotenoids & phenolic compounds. Pawpaw contains antioxidant plant compounds, although human research has not established specific disease-prevention benefits from eating the fruit.
Ascorbic acid. A small amount of vitamin C is added after pulping to slow oxidation and help preserve color.
