Hummingbird Haven
Our wood cabin sleeps four and pairs repurposed barn wood, cathedral windows, collected art, and forest views with the practical comforts you actually want after a day outside.
Sleep + Settle In
An adjustable Queen bed anchors the open bedroom, with a second Queen bed tucked into the cathedral loft. A massive Stargazer Lily painting, an antique French wardrobe from the 1800s, a massage table, and a collection of books on nature, wildlife, Kentuckiana, nearby trails, local businesses, and healing give the cabin its decidedly-not-generic personality.
Kitchen + Morning Rituals
The cabin kitchen includes a refrigerator, freezer, oven, stovetop, microwave, sink, and Breville espresso machine. Put on a record, connect the vinyl player by Bluetooth if you like, and let breakfast take as long as breakfast wants to take.
Tiny but Mighty Bath
The private bathroom includes a standing shower with approximately a one-inch step, safety bars, toilet, and sink.
Take It Outside
Begin or end the day on the outdoor swing couch or chair. When the weather cooperates, head to natural-swimming Princess Leia's Pond, take out one of our two SUP Yoga Boards, float in a tube, or claim a hammock and disappear into green for a while.

Your stay can be as self-sufficient or as deliciously cared-for as you want it to be. Our Bed + Breakfast / Camper Menu includes Sunergos coffee and espresso, Japanese tea and matcha, homegrown herbal tea, farm-fresh eggs, breakfast plates, French-style pastries, local meats, pantry provisions, and rotating seasonal comforts. Availability follows the rhythms of the farm.
Sleep a Little Closer to the Trees
Prefer canvas, stars, and a little dirt under your boots? Wild Indigo also offers RV + primitive camping, with the option to add food from our Farm-to-Table Bed + Breakfast menu.
Need Gear?
A four-person tent or a premium insulated tree hammock with integrated zippered bug netting is available to rent. Our hammock is made by Sheltowee Hammock Company, a Kentucky-grown company for modern-day trailblazers.
Trash, recycling, and compost options are provided for overnight guests. Please never hang bags of food or trash in trees, leave them in a fire pit, or place them beside a dumpster. It attracts wildlife and can seriously harm the animals who live here.

Knob N' Wood
Built by Artisans for Artisans. Knob N' Wood is our Retreat Center and Nature Center on the hill: cob, timber, stained glass, local stone, handmade tile, forest views, and evidence of human hands everywhere you look.
The Making of Knob N' Wood
Knob N' Wood was created with natural light, cob and other natural building materials, passive-solar thinking, and a wood-fired masonry heater by Ken Matez of Fountainhead Natural Homes. The strawbale wall system was designed by Mark Hoberecht of HarvestBuild and accomplished on-site by Chris Fox of Fox's Natural Building.
The timber framing by David Yasenchack Timber Framing and Design brings together white oak, black cherry, walnut, black locust, reclaimed Douglas fir, and live-edge cherry and walnut tie-beams. A Tulip Poplar planted by the original owner and builder as a child and later struck by lightning, along with other fallen trees from the property and neighboring land, found another life here as lumber.
The handmade story continues from arrival onward: the mural mailbox is by Kelly Mules Art; three custom stained-glass windows are by Indiana artist GroovySquid Glass; outlet art comes from ECArtAndPyrography; and handpainted cob sculptures by Dano Paints move across the walls as a Monarch, bat and moon, leaf, acorns, vines, and sacred sunrise.
Inside, the artisan-built kitchen carries handmade ceramic tile, a copper hood, cabinetry inspired by Mother Earth's seasons, ship prisms that throw sunlight into the room, and windows toward the forest. Knob N' Wood also includes mobility-friendly bathrooms with safety bars and roll-under sinks — plus a Japanese soaking tub, because apparently we do not know how to be boring.
